Sudoku for beginners

Start on Beginner. Look for forced digits before you hunt for patterns. You do not need to guess.

Last empty cell. If a row, column, or box already has eight digits, the last empty cell is the missing one.

Only one place. Pick a 3×3 box and a digit that is not in it yet. If that digit can sit in only one empty cell of the box, write it there. Do the same for rows and columns.

Only one digit. If a cell’s row, column, and box have already used eight different digits, that cell is the ninth.
